LITTLE BUTTONS OF SUNSHINE
Everybody exclaims when they see the bright yellow, button-like flowerheads sitting on slender, needle-like stems. They are especially eye-catching when the bushes grow bigger and become a mass of yellow flowers.
These little shrubs don't mind the salty air or the dry Rooiels summers. They are also called Bitterbos — and even the baboons leave them alone!
In summer, look out for Yellow Buttons on your walks in and around the village. Bees love visiting the flowers.
